The key to starting a business or running a successful business is business planning.  Conventional lenders and economic development lenders will not finance a project especially for businesses that have less than two years of tax returns if a business plan has not been developed.  CCED can assist with this task but in addition we have set up key strategic partnerships with local resources that specialize in those services and can assist clients for free of charge.

Consulting:


SBDC consultants help entrepreneurs develop the planning, management, and financial skills necessary to make their business thrive. The SBDC's one-on-one management consulting emphasizes education and guidance in finding practical solutions to business problems. Consulting is confidential and provided at no charge by a staff of skilled professionals.


Education:


SBDC courses, seminars and conferences provide up-to-date, practical information on a wide variety of business topics. Programs teach basic business skills as well as more advanced and specific business management techniques and processes. These low cost workshops feature experts and leaders from industry, government, higher education, and professional associations.

Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies

 

HACC formed the Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies to assist individuals in turning their dreams of business ownership into a profitable reality. Their focus is one-on-one counseling and educational programs that serve entrepreneurs from the initial idea stage through the first three years of operation.

The Women’s Business Center

at Community First Fund


The Women’s Business Center at Community First Fund provides training, customized business counseling, loan capital, and advocacy support to small business enterprises. The goal of the Center is to develop more knowledgeable, better prepared business owners through these services and outside resources.


The Center focuses on the unique needs of existing business owners by providing one-on-one counseling sessions to discuss specific business issues and offering intensive classroom training on how to establish your new business and manage your growth.
