Judith's Biography

Judith has served as the Office Manager for the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) since 2007.  In this capacity she works with both Cumberland County Economic Development and the Cumberland Valley Visitor's Bureau.

Judith Fissel has served over 25 year in the nuclear field.

• 10 years at TMI – Unit 2 for Bechtel National, this included working with the Safety Advisory Board
• 15 years in Oak Ridge/Knoxville, TN
• Worked for companies that supported the cleanup of U.S. Dept. of Energy Sites
• IT Corporation, British Nuclear Fuels (US corporate office –  Fairfax, VA and UK corporate office – Risley), and HR  Technology
• Worked on proposals for contracted cleanup work at Oak Ridge/Knoxville, TN; Fairfax, VA; Denver, CO; Cincinnati, OH; Idaho Falls, ID; and BNFL Corporate office in the UK (Risley)
• Responsibilities also included all conferences in the US and Canada (about 12 per year)

Judith has also served as the Office manager for Oak Ridge Chamber office

• Involved with the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce and Congressman’s Zack Wamp’s events
• Worked for four years with the UK office to bring over 35 Brass Band members to tour and play for five U.S. DOE sites in the US
• Responsible for all logistics including travel arrangements (air, bus, hotels, food, media, invitations, posters, and  venues)
