Jonathan Bowser's Biography
Jonathan is responsible for leading the development and execution of CAEDC's long term strategy with a view to creating shareholder value. In addition, he (along with COO) is responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and for implementing long and short term plans for the corporation which is charged with leveraging and promoting Cumberland County's economic development and tourism assets to drive growth, create jobs and improve the quality of life. Jonathan also acts as the direct liaison between CAEDC and the Cumberland County Industrial Development Authority (CCIDA), which helps promote economic development activity in Cumberland County.
Jonathan joined CAEDC in April 2012 as the Vice President, Director of Economic Development. After a September 2013, restructure of the organization, Jonathan became CEO. Prior to joining CAEDC, Jonathan was employed at Metro Bank as an Assistant Vice President in their commercial lending division. Jonathan currently serves on several community boards to include; Vice-Chairman of Big Brother Big Sisters, Board President at the Broad Street Market Corporation in Harrisburg, The Greater Carlisle Chamber of Commerce, The West Shore Chamber of Commerce, and the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation. Jonathan holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD.
